NYC Sales Executive

Octopus Interactive is the premier rideshare entertainment and video advertising platform. We place entertainment tablets in the backseats of rideshare vehicles to improve the driver and rider experience. We’re searching for a sales executive to help generate demand for advertising space on our rapidly-growing network of tablets in the nation’s top 25 markets. You will leverage our existing happy clients, such as Walmart®, Disney®, Sprint®, Tiffany’s®, Red Bull® and other national brands, to build a large book of recurring business.

What you’ll do:

  • Evangelize rideshare video advertising as an essential component of any media mix
  • Prospect and acquire new business opportunities within top agencies and brands
  • Work closely with the CEO and CRO to develop sales leads and new strategies
  • Build and maintain a large and active national pipeline of high-quality leads
  • Assist in managing large accounts and support client success teams
  • Leverage creative, tech, and product teams to drive new sales assets and campaign capabilities
  • Work closely with client success team to develop strategies for campaign executions and client retention

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of top-performing advertising sales experience, specifically experience selling video, OTT, digital, or DOOH advertising
  • Understanding of direct and programmatic sales
  • Strong connections with top agencies and brands with a successful track record of building relationships and closing business
  • Proactive approach to prospecting and pipeline building; CRM experience
  • Comfortable working directly with executive team
  • Disciplined, goal-oriented approach with a history of meeting targets
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport on the phone
  • Highly organized and efficient with time management
  • Position based in New York City office; must be comfortable working remote from DC-area HQ
