Octopus Interactive is the largest rideshare advertising platform in the United States. We place screens in the backseats of Uber and Lyft vehicles and deliver premium video ads from the top brands in the world to a captive and highly engaged audience as they use rideshare during the consumer journey.

We’re searching for a Director of Marketing to help strategize and execute marketing campaigns to promote the Octopus brand and increase advertising brand and agency leads. You will leverage our previous experience working with top-tier brands such as Walmart®, Disney®, Sprint®, Tiffany’s®, Red Bull®, and many others, to generate interest and help identify new potential clients. You will help coordinate marketing efforts across multiple channels with a focus on quantitative metrics for measuring the full lifecycle of a potential client.  As Director of Marketing, you will be measured on increased qualified lead generation and branding success metrics, such as media mentions.

What you’ll do: 

  • Develop and execute a multi-channel marketing strategy to generate qualified leads that result in increased revenue 
  • Create repeatable processes to qualify leads, continuously optimizing tactics for increased signing per lead
  • Work to coordinate marketing activities to entice potential advertisers, including Content Marketing, Paid Media, Conferences and Events, Industry Award Responses and Public Relations
  • Forge strong relationships with Advertising Industry media members to ensure that Octopus has the highest brand recognition for potential customers 
  • Create content marketing pieces to drive industry interest in Octopus
  • Develop and execute strategies on social media channels
  • Execute and attribute performance marketing campaigns across social, paid and SEO channels
  • Work with Revenue team on organization and usage of CRM tool
  • Coordinate marketing activities with client-facing members of the leadership team and members of the Product team to increase Octopus’ brand recognition and deliver messages about our unique capabilities
  • Work with members of the Creative team to ensure a cohesive branding strategy across all potential client touchpoints

What you’ll need:

  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in a B2B marketing role
  • Previous experience in the Advertising or Advertising Technology industries is a plus
  • Experience in the Video or DOOH advertising channels is a plus 
  • A data-driven decision-making process with a knack for compelling storytelling
  • Previous experience with CRM tools and marketing automation
  • An ability to generate and foster relationships with individuals in the Press and Media
  • Successful execution of performance marketing campaigns with analysis and optimization of pre-determined budgets 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to gracefully communicate with stakeholders across and at all levels of the organization
  • Fast learner with a deep curiosity to continue learning
  • History of meeting objective metric-based goals
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through 
  • Willingness to go above and beyond for customers
  • Startup experience a plus
